This month, for the 12th year in succession, Porto Montenegro is proud to support Children’s Week in Tivat. Taking place in early October and organised by the local NGO Djeca Tivta (Children of Tivat), the week-long celebration honours the children of our community, focusing on efforts to support their welfare and develop their full potential.
This year, with an emphasis on education, we are offering complimentary guided tours of the Maritime Heritage Museum and the former Yugoslav naval submarine, Hero, both of which are located within the Porto Montenegro enclave. In doing so, we hope to inspire children to better understand their heritage and, consequently, feel pride in their roots and confidence in themselves. In addition, as every year, we have donated packages of books to all of the elementary schools within Tivat municipality.
For us in Porto Montenegro, participating in Children’s Week underlines our commitment to the community of which we are an integral part, to the energy and spirit of Tivat’s people, and to the priceless potential of its children – who represent the future of our beloved town.
