The Rubix Festival exhibition this year emerged from the need for stability in a chaotic world. In times of war, violence, and chaos, people seek solace in art, which restores harmony and divine nature. The exhibition begins with the Garden of Eden, showcasing human creativity as visitors journey through art history and time, exploring the deep connection between man, nature, and the divine.Eight artists address modern humanity’s struggles, fears, and search for harmony through various themes. Rajko Sušić’s works at the entrance reflect on war and peace through personal experience, while Mila Halizova connects viewers with nature using plant seeds. Zoran Obrenović returns to protoculture, and Daria Bajagić critiques mass culture and consumption. Konstantin Evdokimov’s straw sculptures symbolize nature’s power, Marso’s monochrome canvases purify perception, Aleksandar Ostojić combines geometry and colour to order chaos, and Andrey Vereshchagin offers a philosophical system of trinity and harmonization in art.

This comprehensive exhibition moves beyond the Museum hall into the festival’s open space, inviting visitors to explore the intersection of art, nature, and human experience. Through diverse artistic expressions, the Rubix Festival 2024 presents a unified vision of finding harmony and understanding in today’s tumultuous world. 

Aleksandar Ostojić

 

Born in 1991 in Pljevlja, Montenegro, Aleksandar Ostojić is a celebrated visual artist. He plays with space, color, and light in his creations. Educated at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje, where he earned both his undergraduate and master’s degrees, Ostojić’s work is a treat for the eyes. His experimental style in intermediate painting creates immersive ambiances. Besides his art, he passionately mentors budding visual artists and designers.

Moscow-born Andrey Vereshchagin, born in 1969, shines in the contemporary art scene with Systematism. His work uses simple geometric shapes and abstract signs to dive into nature’s laws. Vereshchagin blends scientific curiosity with artistic flair, making his art buzz with energy and space. His pieces seek to harmonize the environment and influence how we see and act in the world.
