Porto Montenegro will once again become a stage for world-class jazz this summer as it hosts the opening night of the Made in New York Jazz Festival Montenegro 2026, celebrating the festival’s 11th edition and its continued presence as one of the region’s most distinctive international music events.
Taking place on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 21:00 at the Park Garden Stage in Porto Montenegro, the event will bring the unmistakable energy of New York jazz to the heart of the Porto Montenegro village, offering an open-air evening of live music, cultural exchange, and international artistic excellence.
The Porto Montenegro concert will be free entry and open to the public, welcoming residents, homeowners, marina guests, visitors, partners, and the wider community. This year’s open-access format is especially significant as part of a shared cultural contribution marking 20 years of Montenegro’s independence, reflecting Porto Montenegro’s commitment to making high-quality cultural programming accessible to all.
The evening will open with a short ceremony followed by a performance from the Frank McComb Band. Acclaimed vocalist, pianist, and songwriter Frank McComb is known for his distinctive blend of jazz, soul, and R&B, and has collaborated with artists including Prince, Chaka Khan, and Branford Marsalis.
The second headline performance will feature the John Scofield Trio, led by one of the most influential jazz guitarists of our time. John Scofield has worked with legends including Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and Pat Metheny, and continues to shape the sound of contemporary jazz across generations. The evening will also feature special guest Yaacov Mayman.
Following the concert, guests will be invited to continue the evening at the After Party at SIRO Social, from 23:00 to 01:00. The after-party will also be open to all, with drinks available for purchase at the bar.
The Made in New York Jazz Festival Montenegro was first launched in 2016 as the European edition of New York’s acclaimed jazz platform. Over the past decade, it has brought together Grammy-winning artists, leading regional musicians, and emerging talent, creating a cultural bridge between the United States, Europe, the Balkans, and Montenegro.
